Health is...
Hittade en väldigt bra text på www.ingridkatarina.com låter den tala för sig själv:
Health isn’t having a list of things you can eat and cannot eat
Health isn’t about forcing yourself to do things you don’t want to do
Health isn’t about choosing to go to the gym instead of hanging with your friends on a friday night
Health isn’t about restricting your life so hardly that you forget what you love the most
Health isn’t to destroy yourself from the inside to get a supermodel’s body
Health is to enjoy the wholesome foods, to know your body, to love the feeling of sweating, to cut down on alcohol and junk food because you know your body doesn’t want it.
But ”going out with friends” doesn’t directly mean ”become an alcoholic”.
Who said having fun and dancing wasn’t healthy? Oh, right. No one, ever.
And eating some ice cream doesn’t directly mean you’ll become obese and disgusting, you just don’t need to eat 3 liters of it.
Enjoy yourself and the body you’re in. Treat your body the way it deserves. But don’t forget there is other things to life than food and training. Eat healthy, but don’t hate yourself for indulging and enjoying the unhealthy sweets sometimes. Train insane, but don’t forget to have rest days and sometimes an afternoon coffee with friends can be more rewarding than that body pump-class.
In moderation, everything (except drugs) is healthy. So be healthy. Not crazy.
